What is Melasma? Melasma is a skin discoloration that tends to impinge on women caused by too much melanin production. Melasma onset of symptoms can be characterized by brownish pigmentation or patches formed on areas of the face, neck, or on the forearm. Actually, the main cause of the appearance of melasma is unknown. Spotting the form of hyperpigmentation that may arise in certain areas in the skin, and even the entire area of our skin is the potential for the emergence of melasma, particularly to areas of skin that are often exposed to direct sunlight with enough intensity and continuous exposure to sunshine.
